Transformations

Together with a model definition, a transformation definition defines a model. You can use the Transformations navigation mode to configure the ETL process by, for example, specifying which tables and columns should be downloaded, which actions should be performed, and in which order. This configuration is mostly applied on the module level. This is why the Transformations mode in the Modeling Workbench only contains models and modules.

Note: The model definition can be maintained in Modules navigation mode, in the content editor tab of the details pane of a module.

Select Transformations in the navigation pane to edit a transformation. You can then use the navigation tree or the search field to find the items that you want to edit. If you select a model, the details pane displays its tables and fields. If you select a module, the details pane displays the content editor.
