Details Pane in the Modeling Workbench

The details pane is the largest section of the Modeling Workbench page. It displays detailed information about the item that is selected in the navigation pane. The content of the details pane depends on the selected navigation mode and on the type of your selected item. It can contain the following tabs:

  • Modules mode:

    • Activation - this tab is displayed for models. It gives an overview of the activation status of the modules in the selected model. See The activation tree for more information about module activation.

    • History - this tab is displayed for models. It shows a list of previously committed model versions.

    • General - this tab is displayed for modules, object types, object type extensions, and base config. Here you can edit the general characteristics of the module. See The General tab for a detailed explanation of the characteristics.

    • Overview - this tab is displayed for modules, object types, object type extensions, and base config. It displays the content of the module and you can edit the content in this tab. You can also jump to the corresponding help text from here. See The Overview tab for more details and see The content editor for more information about the editor's features.

  • Object Types mode:

    • Content Editor - this tab is displayed for modules. Here you can see how the object types is defined in the selected module.

  • Transformations mode:

    • Tables and Fields - this tab is displayed for models. It gives an overview of all the tables and fields configured in the modules that are currently active.

    • Content Editor - this tab is displayed for modules. You can edit the transformation here.

  • Help Texts mode:

    • Help Text overview - this tab is displayed for models. It gives an overview of the help texts that have been changed recently.

    • Description - this tab is displayed for help texts in help texts mode. It contains information about the help text and a text editor with which you can edit help texts directly. See Help text details for a detailed description of the options on this tab.

  • Committed Model mode:

    • Committed model - on this tab you can specify the filters and criteria that you want to use for the Committed Model. These settings are used to build the tree. Once the tree is built, it displays the content of the selected item in the navigation tree. If you have selected two model versions, it displays the comparison of the two versions of the file.

  • Search mode:

    • If you use the search functionality in any of the other navigation modes, the details pane displays your search results. The search results initially depend on the navigation mode that you are in, but you can change this by changing the Category on the search results page.
