Templates versus Angles

You can see a Template as a blueprint or starting point for an Angle. It is based on a start object (see Objects) and it contains a set of fields, filters, and Displays that answer a business question. A Template cannot be edited, but if you execute it, the results can be customized and saved as an Angle. Angles for SAP includes a large set of standard Templates to get you started.

An Angle is very similar to a Template, but it can be edited. You can create an Angle from scratch, or you can base it on an existing Template. You can also convert an Angle to a Template.
