Converting an Angle to a Template
This functionality is only available if you have sufficient privileges. Your privileges are maintained by your system administrator in the IT Management Console.
You can convert an Angle to a Template. This Template can be used as a starting point for creating other Angles.
After executing this procedure, the original Angle will no longer be available. You can recreate it by executing the newly created Template.
To convert an Angle to a Template
On the Search page, find the Angle that you want to convert to a Template.
Click the Angle name to execute the Angle. The Angle results page opens.
You can now edit the Angle before converting it to a Template (see Editing an Angle and Changing the publication status of a Template).
If the Save button is active, click .
In the Action bar , click the caret of the Save Display button ( ). A drop-down list appears.

Click Set to Template. The Angle is converted to a Template. You can still revert this change by repeating the previous step and selecting Set to Angle.
Caution: You can still edit the Template at this point, but once you leave the page, the Template can no longer be edited. Make sure to save additional changes before leaving the page.
Note: If you edit an Angle that is linked to an automation task, you will get a confirmation prompt to indicate this. If you have edited one of the Displays in the Angle, the confirmation dialog box will list all changed Displays. Deselect a Display if you do not want to save the changes you made. If you have sufficient privileges, click to open the corresponding automation task in the IT Management Console.
Only save your changes if you are aware of their impact. Changing an Angle that is linked to an automation task may cause the automation task to fail.
