Moving a Filter from a Display to an Angle

Note:

This functionality is only available if you have sufficient privileges. Your privileges are maintained by your system administrator in the IT Management Console.

In some cases, you might have applied a filter to a Display, but you want to apply it to the entire Angle instead. You can move the filter from the Display to the Angle containing that Display. You cannot move a filter from a Display to another Angle. It is also not possible to move a filter from an ad hoc Display to the Angle. Save the ad hoc Display first.

To move a filter from a Display to an Angle

  1. Execute the Angle that contains the Display (see Executing an Angle or Template ). The Angle results page opens.

  2. On the Details pane (Angle) , click the Display details (Angle) tab.

  3. In the Filters & Jumps section, find the filter that you want to move.

  4. Left-click the filter name and drag and drop it to the area marked Drop here to move filter to Angle. A confirmation prompt appears.

  5. Click OK to move the filter to the Angle. The Angle is saved automatically.

Note: If you edit and save a Display that is linked to an automation task, you will get a confirmation prompt to indicate this. If you have edited more than one Display , the confirmation dialog box will list them all. Deselect a Display if you do not want to save the changes you made. If you have sufficient privileges, click to open the corresponding automation task in the IT Management Console. Only save your changes if you are aware of their impact. Changing a Display that is linked to an automation task may cause the automation task to fail.
