Creating a Help Text

To create a new help text from scratch

1. In the navigation pane , click Help Texts to enter Help Texts navigation mode.

2. Click Create help text and select the type of help text that you want to create from the drop-down list. The help text editor opens in the details pane.

3. In the help text editor, enter the required information for your chosen help text type. See help text details for more information about the required input.

4. Click .

The new help text has been added to the model. You still need to commit the model for the changes to take effect.

You can also copy an existing help text to serve as a starting point for a new help text. This can be useful if you are creating multiple similar help texts.

Creating a Help Text from an Existing Help Text

To create a new help text from an existing help text

1. In the navigation pane , click Help Texts to enter Help Texts navigation mode.

2. Select the help text that you would like to copy. The help text content is displayed in the help text editor.

3. Click . The Copy Field text dialog opens.

4. Enter the Name of the new help text. The help text ID will be based on this name, and it cannot be changed.

5. Click Save helptext. The original help text is copied and saved with the name you provided. This includes any existing translations. The copied help text is opened in the help text editor.

6. Edit the new help text and save it when you're done.

The new help text has been added to the model. You still need to commit the model for the changes to take effect.
