Sort the Search Results

You can sort the search results that are displayed in the Search results pane in multiple ways to more easily find what you are looking for. You can combine sorting your search results with Using the search bar and Filtering the search results to further refine your search results.

To sort the search results

  1. In the Action bar, click WC_Down_Arrow in WC_Action_Button_Sort_by. A drop-down list appears.

  2. Select the sorting option by which you want to order your search results.

    Description

    Name - ascending

    Display the search results in ascending order, based on the item names. The search results are presented in the following order:

    1. Special characters

    2. Numeric characters (0-9)

    3. Alphabetic characters (A-Z)

    Name - descending

    Display the search results in descending order, based on the item names. The search results are presented in the following order:

    1. Special characters
    2. Numeric characters (9-0)
    3. Alphabetic characters (Z-A)

    Created - ascending

    Display the search results in ascending order based on their creation date. The oldest items are shown first.

    Created - descending

    Display the search results in descending order based on their creation date. The most recent items are shown first.

    Recently used

    Order the search results by the date and time that you have last executed them. The most recent items are shown first.

    The order of the search results is updated immediately.
