Specifying the Data Formats
The way your Angle results are shown depends on how the user defaults have been defined by your system administrator. You can overrule some of those settings with your own preferences.
In a List: left-click the column name and select Format field (see Formatting a field (List)).
In a Chart or Pivot: in the Display details (Angle), click the field name and click (see Formatting a field (Chart) and Formatting a field (Pivot)).
To specify your own data format settings (per data type)
Click in the Side bar . A settings pane appears.
Click the Format tab.

Select the separator you want to use in numbers, currencies and percentages.
Numbers
Decimals
Specify the number of decimals to be shown in numbers.
Display units
Shorten numbers by using the thousands (K) or millions (M) indicator.

Indicate whether you want to use the thousands separator you selected under General.
Currency
Currency symbol
Select your currency symbol.
Decimals
Specify the number of decimals to be shown in currencies.
Display units
Shorten currencies by using the thousands (K) or millions (M) indicator.
Use thousands separator
Indicate whether you want to use the thousands separator you selected under General.
Percentages
Decimals
Specify the number of decimals to be shown in percentages.
Display units
Shorten percentages by using the thousands (K) or millions (M) indicator.
Use thousands separator
Indicate whether you want to use the thousands separator you selected under General.
Date
Order
Specify the order in which you want to see the date.
Delimiter
Specify the date delimiter.
Day, Month, Year
Specify the number of digits to be shown for each date element.
Time
Delimiter
Specify the time delimiter.
Hours, Minutes, Seconds
Specify the number of digits to be shown for each time element.
Set
Notation
Specify whether you want to see the short name of the value, the long name of the value, or both in your Displays. This default setting can be overruled by the setting in the following fields:
In a List, the Notation field in the Format Field dialog box.
In a Chart or Pivot, the Format field after clicking on a field name.
Click Save.
Notation options
The field 'Sales document category' can have various values such as 'C (Order), B (Quotation), G (Contract), etc. The following results are possible:
