Adding a Widget to an Existing Dashboard

Note:

This functionality is only available if you have sufficient privileges. Your privileges are maintained by your system administrator in the IT Management Console.

You can extend an existing Dashboard with more Angles, up to a possible maximum of nine. The maximum number of widgets is defined by your system administrator in the IT Management Console.

For each Angle, you select which Display should be shown on the Dashboard widget. You can change this selection later (see Editing a Dashboard widget).

To add a widget to an existing Dashboard

  1. Execute the Angle that you want to add to a Dashboard (see Executing an Angle or Template ). The Angle results page opens.

  2. Note:

When you add an Angle to a Dashboard, the Display that is selected in the Displays pane is added to the Dashboard widget.

Find the Display in the Displays pane . If there are many Displays, the Display tab of the Display might not be immediately visible. In that case, click to see the list of available Displays and find your Display there.

  3. In the Action bar, click WC_Dashboard_Icon. The Add to Dashboard dialog box opens.

  4. Select the Dashboard to which you want to add the Angle or opt to create a new Dashboard.

  5. Click OK to add the Angle to the Dashboard. A dialog box appears.

  6. If the operation was successful, you can click the provided link to open the Dashboard.
