Changing the User Defaults

To change the general user default settings, open the IT Management Console, and navigate to ​Users > ​​​User defaults​.

Here you can set default settings for new users. These default settings apply to all newly created users. It is possible to change settings for individual users in the Web Client.

Explanation

Decimal separator

Specify the delimiter to separate the units with the decimals.

Available options are:

  • Full stop (.)
  • Decimal comma (,)

Note that this is a general format and applies to Numbers, Currency and Percentages.

Thousands separator

Specify the delimiter to make large numbers easier to read.

Available options are:

  • Full stop (.)
  • Decimal comma (,)
  • Space ( )

Date order

Specify in which order the date is displayed.

Available options are:

  • Day-Month-Year
  • Month-Day-Year
  • Year-Month-Day

Day format

Specify how a day number is displayed.

Available options are:

  • With a leading zero
  • Without a leading zero

Month format

Specify how a month is displayed.

Available options are:

  • As a number without leading zero
  • As a number with a leading zero
  • As an abbreviation of the month in the current language of the user

Year format

Specify how a year is displayed.

Available options are:

  • Without a century notation
  • With a century notation

Date separator

Specify how the date notation is separated.

Available options are:

  • Slash (/)
  • A dot (.)
  • Space ( )
  • Dash (-)

Time format

Specify how the time is displayed.

Available options are:

  • 24 hour format
  • 12 hour format (AM/PM)

Time separator

Specify the delimiter to separate hours and minutes.

Available options are:

  • A dot (.)
  • A colon (:)

Default language

Specify the default language for all users.

Available options depend on the settings specified in Languages.

Default setting for currency

Specify which currency is the standard.

Available options are:

  • Euro

  • US Dollar

  • Pound Sterling

  • Canadian Dollar

  • Swiss Franc

  • Yuan Renminbi

  • Forint

  • Rupiah

  • Yen

  • Won

  • New Taiwan Dollar

  • UAE Dirham

  • Argentine Peso

  • Australian Dollar

Numbers format

Specify how numbers are displayed.

Available options are:

Number:

  • No decimal

  • 1 decimal

  • 2 decimals

  • 3 decimals

  • 4 decimals

  • 5 decimals

  • 6 decimals

  • Thousands (K)

  • Millions (M)

Thousands separator:

  • Yes

  • No

Currencies format

Specify how currencies are displayed.

Percentages format

Specify how percentages are displayed.

Default setting for export lines

Specify how many lines are exported to Excel.

SAP fields in chooser

Specify whether SAP notations are visible when choosing fields.

Note that in the default settings per user this is called Show technical names.

SAP fields in header

Specify whether SAP notations are visible in the headers.

Note that in the default settings per user this is called Show technical names.

By default selected in the field chooser

Specify which fields are selected.

Available options are:

  • Starred fields

  • Suggested fields.

Default setting for Business Processes

Select which Business Process are shown by default for every user.

Auto-execute items on login

Specify whether Angles and Dashboards automatically are executed per logon.

Default setting for set

Select how sets are displayed.

Available options are:

  • Short name - will only view the contents as found in the table

  • Long name - will only view the contents related to the contents in the table

  • Short name (Long name) - combination of the above.
