26.3.1 Release Notes

Set out below is a summary of the highlights, fixes and improvements in the 26.3.1 cloud version of Angles for SAP.

FeatureDescription
[05660273] Faster Calculation Engine export for large refreshes: jump export tasks are now split

Large refreshes could run much longer than normal and hit the configured maximum runtime. The cause was in the Calculation Engine export, which splits work into parallel tasks. While one “jump” export task was still running, the other export tasks could only be split once. Late in the export, only a few tasks were running even though many processing slots were free.

What has changed:

  • Jump export tasks can now be split into smaller tasks, like other export tasks. The export therefore keeps using the available processing capacity until it finishes.
  • Each split task writes to its own uniquely named output files, so split tasks can’t overwrite each other’s data.
[05666913] Angle Package Import Handling for Nullable Boolean FieldsResolved an issue preventing successful package activation and angle imports when angle definitions contained Boolean fields with null values in their JSON representation. The import process would fail with a “Can not convert Null to Boolean” error, causing partial or complete import failures. The system now properly handles both missing Boolean properties and JSON null values by safely converting them with a null-coalescing operator, allowing complete angle imports regardless of Boolean field state. This fix enables customers to successfully migrate complete angle libraries between environments without data loss.
[05671932] CalculationEngine Got Stuck During Refresh

Resolved a race condition in the cloud export phase where the CalculationEngine could crash with an access violation when multiple export threads registered external dependencies simultaneously. The export synchronization mechanism now properly locks shared state during concurrent operations, ensuring stable multi-threaded refresh cycles. Refresh processes no longer hang when the engine encounters this condition.
[05673984] TCURR does not have negative sign on FM444 and belowRestored correct parsing of negative currency amounts in the TCURR table for SAP Finance Module versions 432, 444, and earlier. The system now properly displays negative exchange rates in older FM versions as well as current versions. The EATableIndexer has been reverted to the proven 26.2 implementation pending further .NET conversion testing.
[05676956] MovePrevious case sensitive

Resolved a critical issue where the MovePrevious operation would incorrectly overwrite freshly loaded tables with stale data when file extension casing differed between refresh cycles. The file matching logic is now case-sensitive, preventing unintended overwrites and ensuring data integrity during delta and non-delta refresh alternations. This fix restores correct behavior for users performing mixed refresh patterns.
AI Search keeps its filter after you process an angle

After you run an AI search, select one or more angles from the result, and process them (for example, delete an angle), the AI search filter now stays in place. Previously the filter was reset after processing. The link between your search prompt and the displayed result was lost, and you had to repeat the search.

What has changed:

  • The original AI search filter is retained after an angle is processed from the result list.
  • You can keep working on the same filtered result set. This matches the behavior in classic search.
Button to create quick link from Display does nothingRestored the quick link creation feature on display pages. The button now correctly opens the dialog to add shortcuts to your home page, with clearer labeling to indicate its purpose.
Calculated fields: editor now shows fields from all sources

When you create a calculated field after inserting a column with the Source filter selected, the editor now lists fields from all sources. Before, it only showed fields from the source you had used in the Insert column panel. That blocked calculated fields combining fields from different sources.

What has changed:

  • The Create Calculated Field popup uses its own filter selection. It no longer inherits the Source filter saved from the Insert column side panel.
  • The Insert column panel keeps its saved filter as before.
Designer Workbench | Sublist Validation Enhancement

Enhanced validation logic in the Designer Workbench to prevent creation of sublists without proper reference assignments. The system now enforces that all sublists must be created with valid reference selections, preventing orphaned sublist configurations that could cause processing failures during refresh operations.
Export: Faster Excel export for drilldowns with many fields (SD Schedule Lines)

Exporting a drilldown to Excel with all fields, such as R2 DrillDown SD Schedule Lines, is now much faster. Exports that took 6 to 10 minutes now finish in a fraction of that time.

What has changed:

  • The export now groups the fields it fetches by the table they come from before splitting them into batches of 100. Previously, each batch pulled fields from almost every related table in the data model.
  • Each batch now queries only a few related tables. The number of batches is unchanged, but each query compiles much faster on the database.
  • The exported content is identical to before.
Retry on sap-connection-error is brokenRestored the retry mechanism for transient SAP connection errors during the initial connectivity check. The system now properly distinguishes between non-transient logon failures (which fail immediately) and transient connectivity issues (which retry with configurable intervals). Refresh cycles are now more resilient to temporary network disruptions and SAP system availability glitches.

FeatureDescription
[05627496] Designer Workbench: earlier validation of invalid SQL references

Workbench Designer now validates [SQLReferences] entries when you commit model definition changes. Previously, an invalid entry could be committed without any warning and only caused the QAS refresh to fail later.

What has changed:

  • If a [SQLReferences] entry can’t be resolved (for example, a MakeID(...) reference that has no SQL information for the model class), validation now reports the error at commit time. The error names the affected model class and reference.
  • The refresh no longer fails because of a malformed entry that should have been caught earlier.
Custom Clover maximum heap size is kept when you upgrade

If you set a custom value for the Clover maximum heap size, upgrading no longer resets it to the default. Your value is kept.
YBLoad timeout and retry

Resolved an issue where YBLoad operations could hang indefinitely during data warehouse refresh cycles. The system now enforces a 30-minute timeout for individual load operations; if a load exceeds this time, it is automatically stopped, cleaned up, and retried once. If the retry also fails, the refresh fails immediately rather than hanging for hours.
Realtime Model Server stabilityVersion 26.3.1 uses the stable Real-time Model Server (RTMS) query engine from version 26.2. The experimental CTE query engine introduced in 26.3.0 has been reverted while its improvements and regression fixes are completed for a future release. No data migration is required, and query behavior is restored to 26.2 stability levels.
