SAP Connectivity
Overview
To download the required SAP data to the Angles for SAP Cloud environment, you will need to organize connectivity to your SAP systems. The Angles for SAP team will support you when setting this up. Our Angles for SAP consultant will require a temporary VPN account to log in to your network so that they can remotely log in to your SAP system.
SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Integration
Available from:
- R1 2025.1
- R2 25.1
BTP provides a modern and secure alternative to traditional VPN/WebSocket-based methods with the following benefits:
- Seamless data extraction using BTP technology
- Hybrid integration support allowing businesses to maintain on-premises systems while benefiting from cloud-based extraction and integration services
- Efficient, scalable, and secure data extraction, supporting organizations in their digital transformation journey while maintaining regulatory and operational flexibility
BTP is primarily a cloud-based platform that provides options to integrate/expose on-premises SAP systems to cloud.
BTP Connection Benefits For R2
- No VPN Required: BTP connections use the public internet with secure TLS encryption, eliminating the need for VPN setup unless SimpleRFC is used for data extraction
- Simplified Access: End-users can access Angles for SAP directly via the open internet without VPN requirements
- Streamlined Setup: VPN is not required for function module installation, configuration, or initial data verification
