Introduction to Modeling Workbench

With the Modeling Workbench (MW), you can create and maintain standard and custom content. Content is organized per model. The available models are based on the provided license.

Based on the structure of the modules within a model, a navigation tree is constructed and displayed in the left-hand panel of the Modeling Workbench. This tree-view is always visible. The center panel of the Modeling Workbench displays the available information dependent on your selection in the tree-view. Select a model to get started. Commit your work to have your model available for retrieval when you initiate a refresh cycle from the IT Management Console.

A model consists of modules that can come from the standard content, customer-specific content, or a combination of both. Standard content can only be modified by Angles for SAP employees with the correct license. Customer-specific content can be edited by every user with authorization to edit content in the Modeling Workbench.

All content can be configured by users with authorization to configure content in the Modeling Workbench. Modeling Workbench authorization is maintained in a model role, which can be edited in the IT Management Console.
