Welcome Page

The first page users see when they log in to the Angles for SAPWeb Client is the Welcome page. This Welcome page can be customized. You can change the text as well as the customer logo, and you can add training movies.

To customize the Welcome page, open the IT Management Console and navigate to Global settings > Welcome page.

Customizing the Welcome Page

Customizing the Welcome page is done per language.

To customize the Welcome page for a specific language

1. Select the Language you want to work on from the drop-down menu.

2. Edit Textbox 1.

   Textbox 1 contains the introduction text. You can use the standard formatting options above the text field. If you insert an image, make sure to upload it to a location where it can be accessed, for example, the Web Server.

3. Update customer logo. The logo is language independent.

   1. Click the current logo. A file explorer opens.
   2. Navigate to your logo file.
   3. Click Open.

4. Edit Textbox 2.

   Text box 2 contains the news feed. Use this text box to announce maintenance shutdowns or other news.

5. Click Save after updating an element, or else the changes may be lost.

Training Movies

You can see an overview of the uploaded training movies at the bottom of the screen. Angles for SAP supplies some standard training movies.

These training movies are automatically installed if the file movies.zip is present in the same folder as the web server installation wizard before installation. Only English movies are installed.

You can add your own training movies. The following video formats are supported:

• .mp4
• .m4v
• f4v
• WebM
• FLV

Movie titles are shown in alphabetic order by default. The order in which they are displayed may be different in each language. If you want to force a certain order, rename each movie title to start with a number.

Adding or Removing Training Movies

To add or remove training movies

1. Log in on the server where the Web Client is installed.
2. Start IIS manager.
3. Find the correct website.
4. Right-click on the website and select Explore.
5. Find the folder Resources >Movies > [language code].

Note: If the language folder does not exist, you can create it yourself. Use the following language codes:

• en - English
• de - German
• nl - Dutch
• fr - French
• es - Spanish
6. When removing:
   1. Delete the movie(s).
   2. Delete the picture(s) with the same name as the movie(s).
   3. Close all opened applications.
   4. Log out of the server.
7. When adding:
   1. Copy the desired movie(s) into the correct language folder.
   2. Log out of the server.
   3. Open the IT Management Console and go to Global settings >Welcome page. Generate video thumbnails displays a number. This is the number of newly added movies.
   4. Click Generate video thumbnails. Repeat this for each language.

Do not install movies by running the web server setup wizard again. If you do that, the (web-) services are stopped. It is recommended to follow the instructions above instead.
