Preparing the Environment

Getting started with Angles for SAP consists of executing the steps described below. The technical implications of each step are explained in more detail in their corresponding chapters.

To prepare the Angles for SAP environment

  1. Fill in the Angles for SAP Sizing and Requirements Questionnaire to determine your Angles for SAP setup (see Sizing and requirements).

  2. Fill in the ‘Angles for SAP VPN document’ and set up the Angles for SAP VPN configuration to enable a VPN tunnel between Angles for SAP and the SAP datacenter/Customer Network (see VPN connection).

  3. Share the filled out documents with your Angles for SAP consultant. The consultant will analyze the information and set up the Angles for SAP environment for you. They will also inform you how to access this environment.

  4. Make sure that the required Firewall ports are used for connecting the Angles for SAP system to SAP (see Firewall port numbers).

  5. Import the SAP Function Module, so that data can be extracted and copied to the Angles for SAP environment (see SAP Function Module.

  6. Set up an SAP System User account and an SAP Dialog User account with correct authorizations that will be used to download the SAP data and to verify the integrity of the data (see SAP users).
