Access to Fields
On the Fields tab, you can define user privileges for field access.
You can select a default privilege for a specific Role ID with the drop-down boxes By default, currency fields are and By default, fields are.
Note that the fields privilege overrides the currency field privilege. So, if you select Undefined for currency fields and Allowed for fields, the currency fields will be available. Also, fields with the identifier ID and ObjectType EA are always allowed. Selecting Deny or Undefined will generate an error message.
If you select Deny for a role:
the field will still be included in a basic list, but without any value.
the field cannot be added to or removed from a Display.
Angles for which the field is applied as a filter will not appear in the result list.
Displays for which the field is applied as a filter will not be available.
pivot or chart Displays will not be available.
Adding Field Access
To add field access
Navigate to Models > [Model name] > Roles.
Click
next to the role you want to edit, and select Edit. The role details are displayed.
Select the Fields tab.
Click Add Field access. A new object appears.
Select All objects or a Select object. For Select object you consequently select a specific object.
Select a Field name.
Select Allow or Deny.
The selected field is added to the role.
Deleting Field Access
To delete field access
Select a field.
Click Delete.
The selected field is deleted from the role.
