SAP Buffer and Log Space

During the refresh cycle, Angles for SAP uses the TCP and RFC buffer spaces of SAP to transfer data from SAP to Angles for SAP. SAP needs to have sufficient buffer space available to support this process. The size of the TCP and RFC buffer differ for each SAP system. If the system runs out of buffer space, this can cause SAP and Angles for SAP performance issues.

SAP transaction RZ20 can be used to monitor the SAP buffer spaces.

To monitor the buffer spaces

  1. Open SAP.
  2. Start the Alert Monitor using transaction RZ20 or navigate to CCMS > Control /Monitoring > Alert Monitor.
  3. The CCMS Monitor Sets screen is displayed.
  4. Expand the SAP CCMS Monitor Templates set.
  5. Double-click the Buffers monitor to start monitoring the SAP buffer spaces.
