Privileges on Labels

With the Labels tab, you can manage user privileges for all active labels. Labels for Business Processes are available by default.

Prerequisites

To see labels in this menu option, you first need to:

  1. Create labels - see Work with Label categories on how to create a label (category).
  2. Activate labels for a model - see Manage Labels in a Model on how to activate a label per model.
  3. Validate labels for privilege settings - see Manage Labels in a Model for more information.

To view or manage Labels, do the following:

  1. Navigate to ​Models > ​​​[Model name] > ​​​Roles​​.

  2. Click MC_Edit2 next to the role you want to edit, and select Edit. The role details are displayed.

  3. Select the Labels tab.

  4. Select a default privilege for a specific Role ID with the drop-down box By default, objects are. Select one of the following options:

Assignment

Result

Undefined

The user does not have any specific privileges for this label. Privileges for this item are derived during the Role Consolidation process from the other available Roles.

View

Defines if the user is allowed to view and execute Angles, Displays and Dashboards to which this label has been assigned.

Assign

Defines if the user is allowed to publish Angles, Displays and Dashboards to which this label has been assigned. Also includes everything that is authorized by the View privilege.

Manage

Defines if the user is allowed to edit published Angles, Displays and Dashboards to which this label has been assigned. Also includes everything that is authorized by the Assign privilege.

Validate

Defines if the user is allowed to mark Angles, Displays and Dashboards as validated, which gives them a special and protected status. Also includes everything that is authorized by the Manage privilege.

Deny

The user is not allowed to view and execute Angles, Displays and Dashboards to which this label has been assigned.

Note: The label with the highest privilege determines the privilege of its label category. On the other hand, if a privilege setting involves labels from several label categories, the setting with the lowest privilege will apply to all categories.
