Personalize a Display
This functionality is only available if you have sufficient privileges. Your privileges are maintained by your system administrator in the IT Management Console .
You can personalize your Displays by adding your own name and description.
To change the name and description of your Display
Execute the Angle that contains the Display (see Executing an Angle or Template ). The Angle results page opens.
On the Details pane (Angle) , click the Display details (Angle) tab.
In the Description section, click . Alternatively, in the Displays pane, select the Display and click on the Display name tab.
The Display description dialog box opens.
Depending on your permissions, you can edit the following Display characteristics:
- ID - By default, every Angles for SAP item gets a unique, random ID. You can change this ID to a more human-readable phrase if you are authorized to do so.
- Languages - You can make a Display available in multiple languages by adding them here. A Display must have a name and a description in the additional language.
- Name - It is important to give your Display a clear and concise name. This makes it easier to identify at a glance what the Display is about.
- Description - Add a clear description of the data that the Display uses and what it presents to the viewer.
In the Action bar , click to save the Display .
You can also save the entire Angle and all the Displays it contains in one go. Click the caret of the Save Display button ( ) and select Save all .
Note: If you edit and save a Display that is linked to an automation task, you will get a confirmation prompt to indicate this. If you have edited more than one Display , the confirmation dialog box will list them all. Deselect a Display if you do not want to save the changes you made. If you have sufficient privileges, click to open the corresponding automation task in the IT Management Console. Only save your changes if you are aware of their impact. Changing a Display that is linked to an automation task may cause the automation task to fail.
