Excel Templates
Excel templates are used to export data to Excel. You can use the default template or the system, upload your own Excel templates, or download the existing ones, customize them, and upload them again. In order to, for instance, run a specific Process Automation Pack process, you can create an Excel template with that process. Selecting that Excel template when exporting an Angle, will execute the Process Automation Pack process.
Note: You need the Manage system role in order to manage Excel templates.
The Excel templates page displays a list of all the available templates in the system, their upload date, and the actions that can be performed on them. Additionally, for the Process Automation Pack templates you can also see the SAP processes and the Display name to which they are linked.
Tip: To move an Excel template to another system (for example, from QAS to PRD), you can download the template from the source system, then upload it to the target system.
Upload a Template
To upload a new template
- Open the IT Management Console.
- Navigate to Angle exports > Excel template.

- Select the template and click Open. Make sure the file name contains no spaces and is not longer than 30 characters.

, as this name is reserved for the Angles for SAP default template.

- Open the template with Microsoft Excel.
Edit the template to reflect your requirements. For example, change the visual style (the logo, the colors, and the fonts). You can also customize which information is exported with this template by using macros (see Working with macros).
Note: You can use each macro multiple times on the Summary sheet. You cannot use macros on the Definition sheet, and you can only use the {displaydata} macro on the datasheet.
Save the customized template with a new filename. Make sure that the chosen template name is not yet in use in the system.
Note: You cannot use
EveryAngle-Standard.xlsx

If the template is a default template, the Export defaults page opens instead and you can select a different default template. Make sure that the template that you want to delete is not in use anymore before you delete it.
- If the template that you are deleting is in use as the default template of a Display, a warning is displayed. If you delete the template anyway, the selected template in the affected Display cannot be used anymore. This can also prevent the execution of connected Automation Tasks that need the template. It is not recommended to delete the template if it is still in use.
Click Ok. The template will be deleted.
